Low Fat Recipe: HAM-NOODLE CASSEROLE 27-12-2014
HAM-NOODLE CASSEROLE
Ingredients
1 pkg (6oz) yolkless noodles
1/2 c. fine chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 lb. fully cooked ham
1 tbls flour
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
1/4 c. red wine
1-1/2 c. beef broth
1/4 tsp pepper
1 c. fatfree sour cream
1/2 c. parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 deg. Cook noodles according to pkg directions; drain and set aside.
Coat a skillet with butter flavored cooking spray, saute onion til tender. Dice ham and add to onions. Heat, stirring, 5 min. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, tomato sauce, wine, broth and pepper. Simmer 10 min, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream.
In cooking sprayed 2-qt casserole, layer 1/3 noodles, top with 1/3 ham mixture. Repeat layering process twice. Top with parmesan cheese.
Bake uncovered 25 min.
Makes 6 SERVINGS
I would also throw in any veggies that I had leftover in the fridge too, especially asparagus!
