ICED DARJEELING CHAI
Ingredients
Two 6-ounce cans of sweetened condensed milk
3 teaspoons ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 teaspoons of fresh Darjeeling tea
4 cups of fresh, filtered water
Directions:
Brew the Darjeeling tea double-strength: 2 teaspoons per cup of filtered water. Pour the hot tea over several ice cubes into a pitcher.
Next, mix the two cans of sweetened milk with all of the spices. Take 4 to 6 tablespoons of this mixture and add it to the tea.
Wait until the chai is chilled, then serve and enjoy.
Tip: Cover the milk mixture and place in the fridge for later use.
Yield: about 4 cups of chai
